Please send the page address, every value you typed (with units), the result you got, and the result you expected or measured. A photo of a tape or a framing square is welcome. We reply to every report, and confirmed mistakes go into the change log on the methodology page.

Suggesting a calculator

Tell us what you were trying to work out and which numbers you had on hand. Requests from people in the middle of a real project get priority.

What we cannot help with

We cannot approve plans, sign off on a design or interpret your local code for a permit. For those, your building department or a licensed professional is the right contact.
